Statistics for inclusion: Using regional data to inform policy and counter migration disinformation

Building on the momentum of the first session held on 4 June 2026, this second online capacity-building workshop moves from awareness to action.

The initial session identified a critical systemic challenge: public authorities often lack the formal strategies, tools and training needed to effectively counter migration disinformation. To address this gap, the second session focuses on a fundamental solution identified by participants: the use of reliable regional data as a practical tool for evidence-based policymaking and strategic communication.

Participants will explore how regional statistics can support informed decision-making, strengthen public communication, and help address migration disinformation through credible, evidence-based approaches.
